Loopy Bars are a huge hit around these parts of town.
I mean, just look at 'em! They're colorful and ooey gooey and they just look like a decadent kid treat! My favorite part about this recipe? No mixers, no stoves, no pots or pans required to make them!
Loopy bars (a play on Rice Krispie Treats) are easy to make and are the kind of treat that you should have ready to go when your kiddos get home from school. I know they'll thank you!
the recipe
ingredients
- 5Tbs. butter
- One 10.5oz. bag of mini marshmallows
- 1.5 cups of shredded coconut
- 8 cups Froot Loops
directions
- Generously grease (I use coconut oil spray) a 9x13 baking dish and set aside.
- In your largest heat safe mixing bowl, microwave the butter and marshmallows for 2 minutes (don't worry, it won't explode, I promise).
- Stir with spatula, microwave for one more minute. Stir until smooth.
- Add in the coconut and mix until all combined.
- Add in the Froot Loops and gently mix until they're fully coated.
- Press into your dish (I take a piece of tin foil folded in half and sprayed with coconut oil spray and use that to sort of press everything down).
- Let sit for 20 minutes, then cut!
