Literally, 4 easy ingredients.

This recipe, in my recipe book, is just called chili cheese dip. But I took the literary liberties of renaming it to what you see above, because, this recipe has saved me more than once for sure. The great thing about this recipe is that you almost always have these ingredients on hand. So, for a last-minute get-together you can whip this up and be the Martha Stewart-inspired goddess that you are. Your neighbors will applaud you for making such a yummy appetizer on such short notice.

ingredients

  1. 16oz. cream cheese, slightly softened
  2. 15oz. Hormel NO-bean chili
  3. several dashes tobacco sauce
  4. 2c. shredded Mexican-style cheese

directions

  1. Spread your cream cheese into the bottom of an 11x7 baking dish.
  2. Pour chili on top.
  3. Squirt some tobacco on top (as much or as little as you like)
  4. Top with shredded cheese.
  5. Bake, uncovered, in a 350 degree oven, for 15 minutes.
  6. Serve with taco chips (I like scoops for this recipe)
  7. You can also top your dip with sliced green onions when it's done baking, if you have them on hand. But it's not necessary.
  8. Voila! Get ready for your standing ovation!
