A great cupcake with a dark past
OK, that's pretty dramatic. But my first memory of this cupcake comes with a HORROR STORY. In my opinion, at least. One of my first memories as a child is wandering around the backyard, black+white cupcake in hand, minding my own business and enjoying the beauty and wonder of the world in general; when a large dog came out of nowhere, chased me through the yard, terrorized me, and finally stole my cupcake out of my little innocent angelic hand, leaving me there to cry alone.
That's how I remember it, at least. Nevertheless, the 80's were a rough time to be a kid.
Years of therapy and professional hypnotists and group counseling and years of forcing myself to make these cupcakes and I can finally enjoy them again. I'm strong like that.
Truly though, these cupcakes are my childhood. My mom made these treats for me to celebrate any special occasion of during my younger years. I love my mom. I love these cupcakes. I do not love that beast dog.
